To determine correct cable length measure from base of steering wheel behind dash to the rail, back to the stern of boat and across stern to center of motor. Take this measurement and add 6" if you are installing through an engine tilt tube or subtract 6" if you are mounting to the transom or splashwell. Round final length off to nearest foot. Be careful not to measure too short, it's easier to take up for extra length than to stretch a cable that is too short.
